Sometimes referred to an “acupuncture facelift,” facial rejuvenation acupuncture involves inserting thin needles into specific areas on the face to increase circulation, and stimulate the body’s anti-aging abilities through collagen production. Alternatively, herbal facial masks and acupressure massage may be utilized as a minimally invasive option for individuals who do not require needle insertion. These techniques have been shown to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and improve skin elasticity and tone.
What to expect
During your 45 minute treatment, you will receive an acupressure facial massage using a proprietary blend of Chinese herbs, followed by one of the following treatments: 1) a soothing herbal facial mask based on your skin tone, color and sensitivity as well as desired effects, or 2) insertion of acupuncture needles. The cost of treatment is $55. 10 session punch cards are also available for $499.
How many sessions are needed to see results
A complete course of treatment is 10-12 sessions, preferably 1-3 times per week. Of course there are other contributory factors to an individual’s outcome, including diet, exercise and lifestyle.
